- water
- honey
- brown sugar
- garlic
- ginger
- sesame oil
- cornstarch

How Do You Make Teriyaki Meatballs ?
Bake the meatballs following the package instructions. While they cook, prepare the sauce by combining soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a pan and simmering it. Once the sugar dissolves, bring the mixture to a boil. Mix cornstarch with cold water, then whisk it into the sauce. When it thickens, pour it over the meatballs and toss to coat. Finally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Tips For The Perfect Dish
If you’d like to make your own meatballs, combine 1 pound of ground beef with 1 egg, 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons minced onion, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder in a bowl. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and broil them for 8-10 minutes, or until they’re nicely browned.
You can store the homemade teriyaki sauce in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, so feel free to prepare it ahead of time. Serve the meatballs over sushi rice, brown rice, or, when I’m short on time, I grab frozen prepared rice from the store. For a side, consider sautéed cabbage, Asian cucumber salad, or roasted green beans.
